From time to time YESSERA has been fortunate to have received the encouragement, support and tangible contributions of significant, professional members of the Diaspora and those at home in Ethiopia.
Mr. Charles Sutton, that legendary musician who delighted generations of Ethiopians, as part of the historically famous Orchestra Ethiopia, YESSERA is pleased to announce, is now its Ambassador.
A voice of renown, formally and forcefully, will broadcast then for YESSERA its message of hope, empowerment, and re-education for Ethiopian youth in its quest to achieve selfsufficiency.
YESSERA’S non-partisan, non-political, innovative, over decade long and far reaching service will be articulated, YESSERA hopes, in that unique, truly global Ato Charles style that will win over many, in his travels and frequent contacts with groups, individuals and media.
YESSERA is indeed happy and proud that someone whose art had greatly impacted an earlier Ethiopian generation now has the opportunity to play a significant role in the dreaming and skill-acquired enterprising and creative contribution of emerging Ethiopian youth.
It is the hope of YESSERA’S Board and its volunteers that its mission and programs will be taken to heart by similarly talented figures so YESSERA itself would be empowered to light up the whole map of Ethiopia with glowing creativity, innovation and cooperative enterprising.
