Yessera is committed to empowering youth in Ethiopia to transcend limitations and realize their dreams by acquiring skills which serve the communities they live in.

Our Beliefs and Values

• The future well-being of a community is the well–being of its youth.
• Currently disadvantaged youth can be swiftly helped and re–educated to become helpers and models in return, going well beyond their own self sufficiency.
• The steps of such transformation can be duplicated in varied regions, involving different skills.
• When networked and introduced to wider circles of regional, national and international supporters, such diversely representative youth can call forth the strength of multiple constitutes to usher in a world of creativity.
• A new attitude, a new space of approaching problems as challenge is an invitation to life–long learning for all. It is an invitation to partake in continued self–transcendence. From strength to more strength, all together.

Stewardship

Yessera is aware of the questions, doubts and skepticism our activities raise at this moment in time. Our commitment is:

• To be an open book. All choices, decisions, activities are open to inspection.
• To listen to genuine alternatives and vigorously discuss issues.
• To mean such business. 100% of donations so far have gone into the work. We anticipate a healthy 90-95%, as our operations expand in several directions.
• To honor small steps and progress. We are in this for the long haul. In our efforts to bring change, we want to be good stewards of the environment, our cultures, histories and diversities. Deep roots.
• To guard against any partisan agenda that could deflect our dream of collective transformation.

Our Goal

The Yessera Training Center

A primary goal of Yessera is to have a multidimensional vocational school. This center will provide practical training to the needy and will serve as a gathering place for creative and innovative minds. It will be the think tank for Ethiopia’s development.

In order to pursue these efforts, Yessera needs your support. Our goal is to draw together constituents interested in sustainable, environmentally sensitive, local human and technological development.
